All Saints Day.
It's a holiday in Germany, all the shops are closed and so is Leah's preschool. We just hung - Jacob didn't get dressed at all until 5 pm or so. Why he even bothered, I don't know. It was drippy and gloomy all day long. A good day for staying inside in front of the fireplace.
We made paper airplanes.
No, not the ones you know from your childhood. We did the professional version. The Gliding Flight is an awesome book by The Paper Airplane Guy John Collins that has tons of great paper plane folding instructions. Do not underestimate this book - this is origami that flies. We brood over these designs. "He means, what? Fold this in? How can this fold in? Sink it? What does that mean?" But when you succeed - then your planes fly beautifully.
We get this book out every few months. It's always good for a few hours of frustration and fun. If you like paper airplanes, you should try this out!
And so to bed.
