I'm getting a lot of hits by people googling terms like "watery diarrhea in toddlers" or "mushy stools in toddlers". Welcome all.
I've written about our experiences with chronic non-specific diarrhea in toddlers and about our long journey to reach this diagnosis and I am glad to give you a few pointers. However, I'm not a doctor and I don't give out medical advice.
That said, I'm just setting up a new homepage for us which will also include a page with all the information about toddler diarrhea in one place. This is more work than I had anticipated, so it will take another week or two for it to be done. I will post the URL as soon as it is in a presentable form.
Other than that, I wish you strength. Even when you finally get the diagnosis of "Chronic non-specific diarrhea" and you know it's not hurting your child, dealing with bouts of five or six watery stools a day can be exhausting, frustrating and frightening (not to mention expensive!). You constantly second-guess yourself and your doctors. That in itself is not a bad thing but it can wear you down quickly. When that happens, go and look at your child, and see how he's thriving, and then try to relax. In five years, you'll laugh about this; true to the saying "the worst experiences make the best stories".
It's just that living through them really sucks…
Hi,
Just wondering if you ever got down to setting up the site on Toddler's Diarrhea. Could you send me the link please if you have ? My duaghter could be down with this and I would appreciate all the resources I can get my hands on.
Thanks.

Some babies may become lactose intolerant during diarrhea and in these cases it is advisable to avoid any milk products including breast feeding.
