I'm tired. We worked in the yard all day long. It looks fabulous but I'm really, really tired. Jacob is having a sleep-over at his Oma's, Leah is sleeping peacefully, the boys and Doug are off to the movies to watch "Monsters vs. Aliens". Before I take that Häagen-Dasz ice cream and curl up with a mystery novel, here's my five-minute easy-peasy impressive craft of the day: Teach your child the constellations with window cling scraps and craft punches!
Get some solid colored window clings (I had left-overs from another craft I did with the boys last year) and your craft punches. Punch out stars.
Peel off the backing and arrange your punched-out stars in constellations on your kid's window.
Ta-dah!
You can even get fancy and include galaxies into your constellations.
Actually, it taks less than five minutes but kids love it. Well, mine do.
PS: I had really nice pictures made but now Typepad acts funny and doesn't want to upload them. I'll try again later. Or tomorrow. That ice cream and I, we still have this date...
Love the idea of using window clings to do that!
Many years ago, we used fabric paint to make window cling decals. I used transparencies - the stiff, clear plastic you used to get to write on with coloured markers when you were giving a presentation. Put that over your pattern, trace the outline with black, silver or such. Let that dry a bit, then fill in the spaces with colours. We made some really pretty ones.

That's cool!
We finally hung up the solar system we bought about a year and a half ago in Allison's room. I think that I like it better than she does... :-)

I love this idea! I added to the MSCE Inspirations (some MSCE project and some projects that would just be cool to do) for this morning...
