I understand about the vapour paths. We are relatively near Toronto airport, probably the busiest airport in Canada. Not near enough for the planes to be a nuisance, but enough that when planes were grounded after 9-11, we noticed and it felt eerie.

Best wishes for your trip.

I'm beginning to think "what trip?" and feel sad.

The New York City Math Teacher

In a moment of paranoia, I checked out freighter passenger rates to the mother continent. Frex... the MSC Flaminia is leaving from Charleston in two weeks - 85E a day per person double occupancy, twelve days to Bremerhaven. Twelve days in a rocking, heaving Holiday Inn room.

Could *anybody* win the Blue Riband these days? The Queen Mary 2 takes nine days going east to Southampton! The SS Normandie would have surpassed the QM2 - 3 days, 22 hours. And the SS United States - 3 days 10 hours - is sitting like a mushroom at Pier 84 in Philadelphia.

So, progress?

Hmmm, post bleibt liegen here as well for some reason.

I just store it behind the couch!
